We help students who are struggling with any subject – Science, Maths, English, History – even Drama!

 

Our tutors can assist with homework and fill in knowledge gaps so students can engage more effectively in the class room.

How does it work?

  1. Fill in our sign up form
  2. A qualified youth worker matches you with a tutor
  3. We provide you the tutors biography to see if they are a good match
  4. We do a trial lesson via Google Meets, attended by the youth worker
  5. We do ongoing weekly sessions

Our tutoring lasts as long as needed! We have students that have been with us for more than three years.

Who can be a tutor?

High school graduates, teachers in training, experienced high school tutors

 

What does YIM tutoring involve?

YIM wants to ensure tutor and student wellbeing. For this reason, all tutors are onboarded and trained before tutoring. We ask that you hold a current Working With Childrens Check and undergo a Police Check

 

What’s the time commitment?

Tutors are able to pick their own availability and modify availability based on capacity. Generally we expect a few hours a week.
